Ann was appointed to the executive committee in 2008 and added the chief of staff role to her HR remit in January 2018.  Prior to joining the group, Ann worked for Marks & Spencer for four years, Fidelity for three, and Xansa (now Steria) for 14 years.  

Ann is the chair of the advisory committee at Sheffield University Management School where she holds the post of visiting professor of HR Management & Employability.

She holds a BA in English from London University and is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Directors.

Outside work, Ann is a trustee of “Step up to Serve” and “Breast Cancer Now”.
