Dr. Yaro Fong-Olivares is a globally recognized speaker and executive leader who helps organizations unlock the power of inclusive leadership to drive business success. As Executive Director of the Gloria Cordes Larson Center for Women and Business at Bentley University, Dr. Yaro partners with leaders and companies to build cultures that foster innovation, resilience, and sustainable growth.
With Afro-Caribbean and Chinese heritage rooted in Ayiti and Quisqueya (now Haiti and the Dominican Republic), Dr. Yaro brings a unique lens to leadership development—one that reflects the complexity of today’s workforce, and the urgency of systems change. Her programs are informed by neuroscience, organizational psychology, and real-world business dynamics, and have reached corporate audiences across industries and continents.
Dr. Yaro holds a doctorate in Organizational and Leadership Psychology from William James College, with a concentration in the neuroscience of leadership, an M.S. in Organizational Change Management from The Milano Management School at the New School, and a B.A. in Sociology from Barnard College, Columbia University. Her expertise is backed by decades of experience in executive consulting, group dynamics, and leadership coaching.
She has served in strategic roles including Past President of the Executive Committee for the New York Center, Co-Creator of Group Relations International, and Certified Consultant at the AK Rice Institute for the Study of Social Systems. Her holistic approach to leadership is also shaped by her background in health and wellness, integrating mindfulness and movement into her work with executives and teams.
