Dr. Jens Weinmann is Program Director at ESMT Berlin, working with corporate clients such as Allianz, Bosch, Henkel and Siemens Energy, as well as leading business schools in Brazil, China, France, Italy and the UK. He also teaches in ESMT’s open enrollment programs, customized programs and MBA/MSc programs.
Previously he was the Chairman of the Judging Committee at the Product Innovation Awards of European Utility Week and a mentor at Startup Bootcamp Berlin. He worked in ESMT research projects on the diffusion of disruptive technologies (distributed ledger technologies and electric vehicles) for the German ministries of economics and environment, respectively. His most recent book “Leveraging Digital Innovation”, co-authored with Christoph Burger, is a compilation and analysis of intrapreneurial initiatives to implement digital transformation projects in various industry verticals, including academia.
Jens Weinmann’s research focuses on the analysis of strategic decision-making in corporations with respect to innovation, regulation, and competition policy, with a special interest in energy and transport. He graduated in energy engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) at the Technical University Berlin and received his PhD in Decision Sciences from London Business School. His academic experience includes fellowships at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, and the Florence School of Regulation, European University Institute.
