As a member of HRM’s senior management, Makoto is in charge of designing and implementing overall talent management strategies across the OECD, an inter-governmental organisation whose mission is to promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world. In this capacity, he has led the implementation of various strategic HR projects such as OECD-China G20 Skills Development Programme and Gender Diversity Action Plan. He also oversees the OECD flagship leadership development programmes in collaboration with leading academic institutions like Harvard Business School, London Business School and Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. These programmes are open to participants from other leading International Financial Institutions such as IMF, ECB and AIIB to build a common platform of nurturing future leaders in the industry.

Makoto holds a graduate degree in public finance from the University of Chicago and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
