HEAD OF LEAN AND AGILE
CENTER OF EXCELLENCE
COCA-COLA HBC

Previous few years were the most volatile in a modern history. As we move forward, the rate of disruption will further potentially accelerate. Navigating through rapidly changing requirements is a challenge that everyone is facing. It's a natural reaction to a stressful situation by reverting to what we're used to. But the new circumstances require a different mindset - an agile mindset that is all about openness and adaptability.

Coca-Cola HBC started an agile journey four years ago. Our approach at the beginning was to start small, learn and then decide on scaling. We learnt that the biggest enemy to new ways of working is the bad agile – implementing agile as set of new routines without changing the mindset. We learned that dedication makes a huge difference. We have seen the speed and quality of delivery driven by agile teams being much higher, as well as the team morale and productivity.

After building a solid foundation we were ready for the next big step: the dynamic pods. This is our Agile 2.0, which is about scaling agile through self-led, dedicated, cross-functional teams behind critical company missions.
